History
The Rolling Stone was at first a crazy idea about there being a rock & roll magazine. It wasn't that crazy after all, Rolling Stone magazine was founded in 1967 by Jann Wenner, former student at University of Berkeley, and Ralph Gleason, a jazz critic for the San Francisco Chronicle. That same year, the first issue appeared with John Lennon's face on the cover.
The idea of Rolling Stone was for there to be discussion about the music of the era, and politics discussed in the student generation. The magazine stretched even further than that. With significant and influential people on their covers, and their infamous interviews, the Rolling Stone has managed to spread 6 decades of information onto the world, making it one of the biggest sources of information.
